To draw one-line network diagram in EA – PSM user must choose one of the icons from the grid elements pane. Each icon represents particular hydraulic system element. When an icon is chosen, it is shown in a darker background, this means that now it is possible to add the element on a graphic window by pressing at any point of it. In order to deselect icon just push Esc button on the keyboard. Connecting elements like pipes and pumps needs to be placed to connect two nodes. This could be achieved in two ways:
First method:
Preferable element on the “Grid Elements” pane is chosen;
The first node is selected;
The second node is selected;
Second method:
Preferable element on the “Grid Elements” pane is chosen;
Click on a white working space between two nodes and element will be added automatically;
The user can change the location at which grid element is connected by clicking on desired element and dragging the green dot to the new location.
Parameters of the system elements can be changed in its properties widows which pops out after double clicking on that element or after press the right mouse key on it and selecting “Properties”.
To save time, key combinations can be used. Ctrl + C will copy selected elements. CTRL + V will add copied elements to the scheme at the position of the mouse. If it is necessary, user can copy (SHIFT+C) and paste (SHIFT+V) only element parameters.
Hint: In order to select several elements the user can click right mouse button and drag around those elements or can hold Ctrl button pushed and select several elements by clicking on them one by one.
