All icons on the grid elements pane have their own purpose. Button meanings are explained in the table below:

This button allows user to change element palette from being static to automatically hide when cursor is not in range. It is very useful if display size is small or when user needs more working space.
If toggled this button will allow to repeatedly add the same element multiple times.
