“Transient process“ function can be found in “Menu bar“ > “Analyze“ > “Transient process“. This functionality allows to calculate voltage and current values during connection and disconnection of elements, analyze transient recovery voltage and other important parameters of short time electromagnetic transients. Pre-process conditions should be filled in “transient process” window, that is depicted in Figure 8.16 .
When all parameters are defined, calculations can be done by clicking Ok“ button.
In results window, user can analyze voltage dependency on time and current dependency on time at any system node:
