Adding a line element requires 2 nodes in the scheme. The user may click between the nodes (with the line button toggled) and the line will be connected to the nearest nodes. Otherwise, the user may click on two nodes subsequently and the line be connected to them.
The properties window for DC line element contains properties such as length, cable type, conductor operating temperature and resistance. User should input the length of the line. For convenience, cable type field has been added. Choosing the cable type and operating temperature will automatically fill the resistance field. Resistance, measured in ohms, can also be input by hand.
