Adding DC elements to EA-PSM environment is simple. It is done in the same way as any other element – click the button to mark the element and click anywhere in the EA-PSM workspace to insert the element into the scheme.
DC module has only a handful of elements: the most important - node, and connecting elements such as line, load, grounded load, PV cell, battery, power source and breaker – all of which can be seen in the “DC Elements” menu found on the left side of EA-PSM window.
It is also possible to convert a DC node into a DC busbar. This can be done by clicking the right mouse button on the node and choosing the option Graphics → Set state → Vertical/horizontal busbar. Clicking one of the option allows the user to resize the busbar and connect lines to it at different points.
Hovering the mouse cursor over the converted node will highlight an orange circle, which can be dragged to resize the busbar. The user may reset the state by choosing the option "Node".
