When opening an older version (EA-PSM 2018 or 2019) scheme that contains breakers or other protection elements, the following window will appear:
This selection will open Save as window and user may save the scheme with a new file name. All the changes made after importing later will be applied to the scheme with a new file name, while the original file will remain unchanged.
Note: it is not possible to open 2020 version with older versions. Because of that, it is recommended to choose this option and save original scheme first.
This option will import the scheme without creating a new file. All the changes performed for this scheme will be aplied to the same file. It will change file format and it will become not possible to open the same scheme with older version.
After scheme is imported, there can appear additional nodes and disruped alligments. Lines can appear as polylines and be difficult to align. In order to fix this, user should right click on the line and click Graphics → Reset polyline to default:
This will remove additional nodes. After that, it will be easy to align the line by right click on the line and selecting Graphics → Align or use keybord combination CTRL+J:
