Power line parameters like resistance, reactance and capacitance can be entered into “Line properties” dialog “General” setting window. Resistance of the material will depend on the operating temperature and will be higher for high operating temperatures, thus, the user can specify estimated “Operating temperature”.
To specify power line model, choose “Details” tab in the “Line properties” window. The user can choose power line type: overhead or cable. By selecting one of these power line types, the user will be able to continue defining an overhead line or cable model. In the cable properties window, “Configure button” will open cable ampacity calculations screen. Hint: if power line is defined as a cable, phase indicators and segment text of cable type will apear next to the line. It is possible to hide it by right click on the line and selecting Graphics → Hide segment text / Hide phase indicators.
