The settings window can be opened by choosing the menu option "Tools"→"Settings".
In tab “Hydraulics” user can select and modify main hydraulic calculations parameters such as: maximum allowed calculation iterations, solver deceleration values, linear solver errors and the main equation of gases calculation:
For calculations EA-PSM is using generalized equation - ΔH. Value n determines power used during calculation;
Maximum allowed iterations specify how many iterations is allowed in the algorithm;
Epsilon – allowed calculation error;
Deceleration – how fast the solution will be approaching to the its true value; Recommended value is from 0,2 to 1. Lowering this parameter accuracy in the cost of total calculation time will increase;
Gas calculation method – user can choose which equation will be used in the algorithm;
Base pressure and base temperature – base values used for Gas flow calculation. Results are recalculated to the STP, which depends on these values;
Linear solver epsilon and deceleration are settings for linear equation solving algorithm.
In a “Calculation” tab user can change the accuracy of power flow calculations and voltage factors for minimum and maximum short – circuit current calculations (check IEC 60909) and choose which calculation device to use (CPU or GPU). To determine which is faster user can run a test and compare the results.
