9. DRAWING SANKEY DIAGRAMS

When hydraulics and electricity flows have been calculated (or at least one of them) the user has an opportunity to draw entire grid of active power diagram. This diagram can be used as an extra tool to analyse the grid. The main diagram's feature is graphic energy flows imaging, which clearly reveals main energy loads and losses components.
Sankey diagram's drawing window can be called by choosing the option "Sankey" under the menu "Summaries".

User can choose which part/parts EAPSM Hydraulics program will draw in Sankey diagram, which means that it will display electricity’s or hydraulic's parts or both  together. Depending on different grid element's active power components percentage distribution Sankey diagram has more or less nodes. Element groups, of which active power consists of less than 0,001% power is not displayed.
Depending on the amount of nodes, Sankey becomes more or less complex. Increasing the number of different components, diagram might look compressed. To avoid such situation EA-PSM Hydraulics allows the user to change main diagram's settings.
To make diagram wider, increase the EA-PSM Hydraulics recommended width and height. By increasing the amount of iterations, program takes more time while drawing a diagram, but it's arrangement of nodes becomes more qualitative. If it necessary to expand the diagram, you can increase the minimal space between nodes.
In situations when Sankey is not drawn, user must make sure that all of conditions are met:

Sankey diagram drawn only for electric load flows.

Sankey diagram drawn only for hydraulic flows.
