21.4. Defining the parameters of the PV cell

 

           To define the model of a PV cell module, user should firstly open the PV Cell properties window and choose the PV Cell model in the according drop-down menu. User may choose an existing model from the extensive library or define a model by using the “Modelling” function as described in section 17.10. PV Module modelling . User should also input the solar irradiation W/m², which depends on the PV module’s latitude. Furthermore, the ambient temperature should be defined.

 

 

           There is also a possibility to calculate the time-dependent DC flows. For example, daily or monthly solar irradiance can be defined as a graph in the “Solar irradiance” tab.
