The DC inverter is a widely used element in PV systems. For this reason, we have added the element and an extensive library of models to choose from. The most essential properties for the DC inverter element are in the “DC Inverter” tab. In this tab the user should choose an inverter model. The output voltage may also be defined – this ability allows to model MPPT (maximum power point tracking) inverters. By changing the output voltage, it is possible to maximize power extraction.
Furthermore, in the “General” tab of the DC inverter properties window the user may define the phase selection for the inverter and define parameters such as power factor and load percentage.
