Each element in EA-PSM can have “Rated voltage” characteristics specified. By specifying this data, user will not only create explicit database about network elements, but it will also allow to select surge arresters and use insulation coordination function. “Rated voltage” window example is provided in Figure 3.39 . User can specify “Maximum operating voltage”, “Rated short duration withstand voltage”, “Rated switching voltage” and “Rated impulse withstand voltage”.
