10.14. Configuring the motor circuit breaker protection
The motor circuit breaker can be added with button. This protection device is mainly used to avoid overcurrents which motors may induce. Its protection device can be configured in the Protection tab of the breaker properties window.
The user may select the protection by clicking button „Select...“ in the Protection tab. A list of many manufacturers, series and models should appear. The user may choose one, or model a protection device by hand.
Motor circuit breaker modelling can be initiated by using menu bar and choosing „Modelling“ drop down menu, selecting „Motor circuit breakers“. A window for modelling will appear. The values needed for a protection module are Imin for the nominal minimal current allowed, Imax for the nominal maximum current allowed. The nominal current for breaking the line.
